Hello! I am Siena, third-generation textile artist, historian, and educator. I grew up in New Jersey and Colorado in a large family rich with tall tales and seamstresses.
I studied history at Colorado College before earning my MA in Education and teaching art and history in classroom and community-based settings.
I am a community-taught artist and have studied at North House Folk School, the John Campbell Folk School,
the Penland School of Craft, MFA Boston, UC Berkeley, Anderson Ranch, the 92nd Street Y Art Center, and the Textile Arts Center.
My work explores themes of duration, interconnection, and ancestry through a wide range of mediums including textile arts, printmaking, painting, and collage.
