My definition of collapse is the disintegration of a system
or physical and social form from within.
Types of systems capable of experiencing collapse:
- Physical systems: buildings, infrastructure, natural formations
- Social systems: communities, institutions, economies
- Environmental systems: ecosystems, climate, biodiversity
- Personal systems: mental health, relationships, routines
- Cultural systems: traditions, norms, values

Goal for the project:
For this project, I explore home as a form of self-reflection. The project will explore the concept of home —
not merely a physical space, but something that extends far beyond its walls. Having grown up in the foster care
system and lived in many different homes throughout my childhood, I came to understand that home is not defined
by a place. Instead, it is shaped by the memories, objects, and experiences that form our sense of identity and belonging.
Through this project, I want to examine home as a fluid and dynamic concept — one that evolves with us, rather than existing
as a fixed or static structure.
This project revisits a third-grade milk-carton house assignment I missed,
as I had just been placed in a new foster home and was my first day at a new school.
The class had already started the project, and I was unable to participate in the initial stages of the assignment.
I was given a finished premade milk-carton house to place in the final display.
In a way, this project is an attempt to reclaim that missed opportunity and to explore the concept of home through a more
personal and introspective lens.
Project - Day One presents the idea that a home is not defined by its physical structure, but by the memories we associate with it.
Project - Day Two explores the idea of an empty home, devoid of its physical structure and memories.
Coded home structure with the text "Home" in the center. The structure is made up of lines and shapes that represent the walls, roof, and foundation of a house. The text "Home" is placed in the center to emphasize the concept of home as a central and defining element of our lives. There is an interaction where the user can interact with the letters of the word "Home" and cause a disruptuion.
